Oak Headboard

Customer owned headboard. Customer had purchased new bedroom furniture and wanted to keep this headboard her husband built. However, the orange tones of the headboard did not match the new furniture.

After chemically stripping the bed with Klean Strip, several rounds of sanding and hand sanding, then a paint wash apply. Paint wash was a ratio of 80:20 water:paint. Paint was Melange ONE in the color Three Trees. Then a custom stain was applied using 95% Minwax Classic Gray and 5% of Varathane Classic black.

Finally it was sealed with General Finishes Hight Performance Top Coat in Satin.
